Information
Created By: Matt Tomkins
Currently Used By: Matt Tomkins
Location: Keswick (requires good visibility)
Instructions
See the attached handouts below for a full description. The staff and student handouts are nearly identical, although the latter has some space for minor calculations.
The practical was first run successfully in 22/23.
Changes for 23/24:
- The number of locations the students were asked to visit has been slimmed down from five to two.
- The students no longer have to perform the calculations 'manually' but can input their measurements on Google Sheets.
- The document has also been simplified.
TO DO for 25/26:
- Design a poor weather alternative (i.e. no visibility)
- Obtain theodolite(s) for more rigorous measurement
- Simplify the document even further (cut all except sampling map, panorama, and simple calculation summary)
- Add an Indian map?
